The Conservative leader of Broadland Council has replaced the Liberal Democrat chair of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee with a Conservative chair. This means the chair of the committee appointed to scrutinise the Conservative dominated committees and cabinet is himself a member of the Conservative majority. It goes against the ethics of open and transparent democratic accountability. Coincidental that it is in an election year?
