The Leader of Norfolk County Council, Andrew Proctor, is reported to have said, "If we were on a beach in Crete or Corfu we'd be lying there, perhaps with our second coffee and maybe our first brandy of the morning, in that sort of situation" referring to the UK heatwave.
What does Mr Proctor now say to the people who have lost their homes and possessions of a lifetime due to the fires that raged across the county? Have another coffee?
He clearly does not understand the seriousness of climate change and its impacts.
