In an article published in the EDP on the 17th October, Jamie Osborn, Green Party County, and City Councillor argues the issuing of new offshore oil and gas licences to reduce energy bills is a fallacy. It is unnecessary when we have renewables that are far cheaper and will reduce our carbon footprint in the long term. He asks if our political leaders really know what they are talking about and what is best for this country?
