The Green Party have done well in the May 2024 local elections!

In South Norfolk Suzanne Wateridge was elected to the District Council in a by-election - congratulations!
She will be the first Green Councillor on South Norfolk District Council.
In Norwich City Greens won 2 seats from Labour increasing their number of councillors to 15 (out of a total of 39 seats)
More results coming in across the country are showing several Green wins!
Here are some of the headlines so far
- in Hastings we have grown from four to twelve Councillors - making us the largest party on the council.
- We've seen another breakthrough in Bolton, joining Newcastle, Redditch and Sefton with their first Green Councillor.
- South Norfolk broke through with an impressive 10 votes over The Conservatives - meaning The Conservatives have now lost control. As this part of the Waveney Valley constituency this is incredibly promising news.
- Peterborough, Redditch, Winchester, South Norfolk, Basingstoke, Worthing and Calderdale have all made gains against The Conservatives.
- Conservative aren't the only Party we're gaining on. West Oxfordshire, Three Rivers, Sheffield, and Cheltenham have all made gains against Lib Dems.
- And in Colchester, Exeter, Reading, Norwich and Leeds we have seen gains again Labour.
- South Tyneside has grown to be the strongest ever Green group in the North East.
- We've doubled the number of Green Councillors on Southend City Council.
- We've defended our Green seats on Plymouth and Stockport councils.
